Health benefits of peppermint tea



There are many health benefits of peppermint tea, such as:


- Peppermint contains an active ingredient called menthol which helps ease headaches, diarrhea and colic in babies.

- Peppermint is a good source of vitamin B and minerals like calcium, and potassium.


- The essential oil found in peppermint i.e. menthol l is known to promote digestion and help prevent gallstones. It is also beneficial in relieving stomach pain and helps soothe the stomach lining. The B vitamins in menthol help improve concentration and performance in the brain and nerves.


- You can use peppermint in different ways, according to your need. Peppermint can be prepared as a tea, to use in baths or drink.


- If you are suffering from stomach pain then try to drink 1 cup of peppermint tea after meals, you can add one quart of tea to a bath to help treat skin ailments. Peppermint tea is also good for sore throats just gargle several times per day.


- In order to alleviate stomach cramps, make peppermint tea by taking 1/2 ounce peppermint leaves, 1/4 ounce camellia leaves. Use 1 teaspoon of this mixture per one cup of tea. Blend mixture and boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, then strain.


- In case of stomach ache, take 6 ounces peppermint leave, 6 ounces lemon-balm leaves, and 6 ounces fennel seeds. Use 1 teaspoon of mixture per one cup of water. Blend mixture and boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes, then strain.


- Peppermint tea is also used for treating bad breath problem.


- Other health benefits of peppermint tea include immunity booster and stress reliever.
