Alternative treatment for hypoglycemia
Hypoglycemia or blood sugar or low blood glucose or low blood sugar, is a disorder of blood sugar metabolism which may result in diabetes in later life. Hypoglycemia occurs when blood glucose drops below a normal level which is due to the excessive production of insulin in the pancreas.
Hypoglycemia occurs in healthy people after the intake of meal, rich in carbohydrates. This type of condition more commonly found premature infants.
Hypoglycemia is a serious disorder in which the brain cannot function properly when the blood sugar level is too low. Mental disturbances caused by subnormal blood sugar levels can seriously affect a person’s life.

- The best alliterative treatment for hypoglycemia is well balanced and ideal diet menu, which should be based on three basic food groups, namely grains,seeds and nuts, vegetable oils.
- Seeds and nuts should be taken in their raw form.
- Grains should be cooked before eating because cooked grains are digested slowly and release sugar into the blood gradually six to eight hours after meals. This will keep the blood sugar level normal and constant for a long period.
- Eat small meals frequently means 5 to 8 smaller meals a day rather than going for 2 heavy meals.
- Eating raw nuts and seeds such as pumpkin or sunflower seeds or drinking milk, butter milk or fruit juices between meals will be highly beneficial.
- Avoid coffee, alcohol, salty foods, processed foods , refined foods, fast foods, white sugar, and white flour for your good.
