Alternative treatment for constipation


Constipation is a disturbance of lower digestive track, in which the bowels do not move regularly or are not completely emptied when they move. Constipation is responsible for causing many heart related diseases such as weak immune system, hypertension, arthritis, contract and cancer are only a few of the diseases.

Causes of Constipation:

Here are some causes of constipation:

- Lack of fluid intake.

- Lack of physical activities.

- Oily foods.

- Improper diet habits.

- Lack of fibers intake.

- Emotional stress and strains.

- Weakness of abdominal muscles.

- Excessive use of alcohol, coffee, tea and tobacco.

- Ignoring the urge to defecate.

- Enlargement of the prostrate gland.

- Insufficient chewing habits.

- Pregnancy.


Common symptoms of constipation are:

- Coated tongue.


- Loss of appetite.


- Dizziness.

- Fatigue.

- Mouth Ulcers.

- Alteration of diarrhea and constipation.

- Under eye dark circles.

- Acidity.

- Insomnia.

- Nausea.

- Depression.

These all conditions results in other symptoms such as :



  • High blood pressure.
  • Contract and Cancer.
  • Weakening of resistance system of the body.
  • Rheumatism.

Alternative treatment for Constipation


- One of the best alternative treatments for constipation is to drink 8 - 10 glass of water daily (but not with meal or just after the meal as it dilutes the gastric juices essential for proper digestion of food)

- Grapes are very beneficial in constipation treatment. Try to eat 300 to 350 grams of grapes daily. If grapes are unavailable then use its alternative means raisins. In order to use them, soak the raisins in a tumbler for 24 to 48 hours. This would swell them to the original size of the grapes. The raisins should be eaten early in the morning.

- Another alternative treatment for constipation is the mixture of Hot water + sour lime juice + 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

- Drinking water which has been kept overnight in a copper vessel, the first thing in the morning will bring good results.

- Swallow at least 1 teaspoon linseeds with water before every meal for better results.

- In case of chronic constipation use 1 to 3 tablespoons of Flaxseed (crushed) 2 - 3 times a day.

- Try to drink 60 ml. Aloe vera juice twice a day.

- Make a mixture by mixing 1/2 glass of water + 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salt and drink it.

- Another effective alternative treatment for constipation is the mixture of carrot and spinach juice (equal), drink this juice at night, before bed.

- Make a mixture of almond oil 2 teaspoon + milk 1 glass drink this mixture at night.

- We all Know that the best treatment is the early prevention , therefore in order to maintain proper bowel movement:

  • Exercise regularly it stimulate intestinal and bowel contractions.
  • Do not ignore your urge.
  • Eat fiber rich food such as psyllium husks, flaxseed, oat bran, guar gum and fenugreek

Yoga as an alternative treatment for constipation:

Practice

Yoga asanas: Bhujansana, shalabhasana, yogamudra, dhanurasana, halasana, paschimotanasana.

Pranayamas: Anuloma-viloma and bhastrika.
