Alternative treatment for appendicitis


Appendicitis – an inflammation of vermiform appendix and one of the most common intestinal disorders. Appendicitis can affect both male and female (mostly between 10 to 30 years) equally and presents itself in acute and chronic forms.

The vermiform appendix is the first part of large intestine and it is a small tube (8 to 10 cm) located at the end of the caecum. The main function of appendix is to neutralize the irritating waste products generated in the body or the organic toxins introduced through the skin or membranes.

Symptoms of appendicitis:

Some common symptoms of appendicitis are:

- Abdominal pain

- Indigestion

- Constipation

- Diarrhea

- Light fever ( 100 -102 F)

- Nausea

- Vomiting

- Tensed abdominal muscles

- Pain with coughing and sneezing

- Loss of appetite


Causes of appendicitis:


Some common causes of appendicitis are:

- Accumulation of an excessive amount of poisonous waste in the caecum which results in irritated, over-worked and inflammation.

- Wrong feeding habits

- Crohn’s disease

- Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.


Alternative Treatment for appendicitis:


- If you feel that you have abdominal pain accompanied by vomiting and fever then say no to food and go on fasting as, fasting is the only real alternative treatment for appendicitis.

- Use warm water enemas, containing about one pint (1/2 liter) of water for at least 3 days.

- Use high compresses over the painful area several times daily.

- In order to treat acute symptoms, try to use abdominal packs, made up of a strip of wet sheet covered by a dry flannel cloth and bound this to your abdominal area tightly.

- When you feel that symptoms had gone away then try to take full enema of about one and a half liter (with warm water only).

- Try to make your diet menu healthy by adding fruits in to in it but avoid foods. During treatment period, you should have 3 meals a day each meal of fresh fruits.

- After following fruit diet. Now, make a new diet menu and include seeds, nut and grains, vegetables and fruit.

- If you are suffering from chronic appendicitis then try to put yourself on a full milk diet for at least 2 to 3 weeks.

- In case of chronic appendicitis, a glass of milk should be taken every two hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on

the 1st day, a glass every hour and a half the next day and a glass every hour the third day.

- After completing your milk fasting, eat a well balanced diet full of green leafy vegetables, fresh juices and some juice which include carrot juice, cucumber and beet juice.

- Regular use of tea made from fenugreek seeds has also proved helpful in preventing the appendix from becoming a dumping ground for excess mucous and intestinal waste.

- Do your best to stay away from constipation
